One of George’s last inscriptions 2 months prior to his death, he gave this presentation copy to Edmund Sydney Williams, one of London’s most prominent publishers and co-founders of William & Norgate. He gave this to Williams 23 years after the books initial publication. A poignant deathbed inscription.

Condition - Fair, general wear, split spine backstrip, moderate spine wear, cracked hinges, foxing, moderate scuffing to front and back boards, minor tears to some plates (all present).
